I'm back!!!!

Gosh it's been a while!!

Some of my fans have said they have missed me so I can't disappoint!!

I did the c9 cleanse before my holiday. It was 9 days of mainly 2 shakes and 600 calories. I found quite easy as I was working so in a way was easier not having to decide what to eat. I lost 8 pounds in 9 days which I was pleased with as weight loss had been slow. I have now lost 13 pounds in total and am feeling much better about myself. Again weight loss is a bit stagnant at the moment but I'm happy with what I have already done!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday! We went to magaluf. It did wonders for my mental health!! I've been a perfect(ish) wifey since I have been back! See pics of holiday below. You will see daquari palace which is my favourite place on earth. Looking out over the beautiful beach it sells about 20 different daquaris and you don't have to wait as they are all in slushi machines.

I want to train for a 10k run before October so I will keep everyone updated.

I wanted to tell you all about yesterday... I worked like a crazy person at home before going to work!! I did 5 loads f washing. I made leek and potato soup with potatoes out the garden and homemade bread. The bread I definitely recommend .... It was half white flour and half lidl rye bread mix! I also made some iced green tea to take to work which was delicious.

I got creative yesterday. I have 5 naked palettes (that's eyeshadow boys!). I was looking at them all thinking could I switch them round? I didn't want to do too many and risk breaking them so I decided to move all the naked basic colours into the empty slots in the other palettes. This left me with an empty naked basics palette so I decided to melt lipstick into each slot which means I can take multiple colours out with me! Picture below!!!

The final thing I wanted to discuss is my new supplements. I was taking some in the c9 cleanse with green coffee bean extract and green tea extract which give you energy, boost metabolism and suppress appetite. I have found a similar one at lidl. Only £2.49 for 60 tablets. After 1 day taking them I did feel they gave me energy. It was actually yesterday I took them and I did 5 loads of washing!! Hehe :)

That's everything that I would like to share for now. I will keep you update with my 10k progress and my life in general because I know you all love it ;)

Satisfying

It's been ages! I've not lost any weight but I have stayed the same. It has been lovely fitting into clothes easier. I am going to try the 9 day cleanse to boost my weight loss before my girls holiday! For now let me show you my home grown lettuce, potatoes and broccoli for tonight's tea. It's very satisfying when you have grown your own. It's a healthy tea which I have continued to do but the snacks and alcohol have crept back in. I have been doing some good exercise too so I am trying not to beat myself up too much especially as I have been very busy working and visiting our weddig venue!!! Looking forward to sending out those invitations! :)

Weigh day!!

I have lost 2 pounds this week which I am moderately happy with!! I think I need to shake up the diet again next week. The biscuits and crisps have crept in ever so slightly :o . These are now banned!! I have made some flapjack which should settle any sweet cravings this week and fill me up!!

I would really like to do another long bike ride this week and get to the gym twice. I would also like to do another 5k run so there's lots to keep me busy!!

Today has been a very chilled day! I went to my mums for a healthy omelette breakfast. We then went to look at a wedding venue, did the shopping and now I've just been chilling and doing a spot of baking/sunbathing!!

For lunch I have had some leftover pork spag bol and a handful of grapes.

In total I have lost 9 pounds which is the weight of 3 bricks. I'm glad I don't have to carry those 3 bricks around any more!! My clothes are fitting better which has allowed me to wear more and I'm keen to keep going!! In other news my back pain has improved and I have taken no codeine for 7 days! Woop!! It makes such a difference to my mood when I wake up virtually pain free!!!! :)

Aiming for 3 pounds next week which will put me at 11st 9 lbs (only 2 pounds off my first stone lost!!!)

I heard a saying although I can't remember how it was said but it asked you to think about where you want to be next week and if you carry on as you are will you achieve that? ...... I think with an extra push I can get to where I want to be and be nearly half way there by next week!!

Love to you all x

Friday Night Challenge

I did not have the energy to upload this last night but...

We decided to go for a bike ride and Robert asked me how far I could go so I told him I'm up for a challenge. We ended up going round all the little villages via boroughbridge and through some more villages. It was really nice. The sun was out and it was very picturesque. We did 20 miles which is the furthest I have done on my bike in one go so I was very proud of myself!! I'm hoping it will boost my weight loss for this week. I am hoping to loose 3 pounds which I have already checked is the weight of a brick!! :)

Motivation

Following my post which had the word motivation in it, a targeted add popped up on Facebook. There was a great idea to track my weight loss and where I am heading so I have shared it below!! This post used marbles but I'm using actual pounds!! :)

17 minutes to work

I was so pleased with myself today!! We woke up at 6 and I dithered around till 7.21am and left to cycle to work. I got myself all organised and had time for a coffee. Bearing in mind when I normally cycle it takes around 25 minutes, I managed to nail it in 17 minutes!! I arrived at 7.38 with mud on my face (see below). I went my usual pace up the hill but on the flat I really went for it and it just shows what a difference it makes! Having said all this I was a bit warmer than usual. Took me a while to cool down but it was nice not rushing. Me and my colleague got the pharmacy up and running by 7.55am!

I'm just having a chill now. I feel like I've done well on exercise this week. Yesterday I went to pump and tone class at the gym( although I call it pump and grind) and then did a 40 minute swim!!  I'm hoping to have lost 3 pounds when I weigh in but remember that is 2 weeks worth!!

Robert is doing incredibly well. He has lost a stone already and had only been doing it all about 2-3 weeks!! #shoutout!

Speaking of shoutouts I  will make one to my biggest fan Aisha who follows my blog all the way from quatar!!! Looking forwar to the holiday. It's giving me motivation knowing I need to stand in a bikini next to you 😉.

Weekend off

It's been a lovely weekend! We went to the races yesterday so I've been a little off plan with the alcohol and it was a set menu. I've been doing my usual Sunday cooking marathon to prep for next week. I'm not weighing in this week as it could be demotivating.

I'm just relaxing in the bath now after a cup of cocoa (almond milk only ;) ) and looking forward to the week ahead. I think that's the first time in ages I've said anything like that! Especially as it's Monday tomorrow!!

I have booked a holiday with the girls from uni. It will be great to catch up. It's just 4 days but I'm really looking forward to it. I also have extra motivation to not look like a beached whale by the pool!!!!!

It's been a while since I posted so here are some pics of my week! I'm so impressed with my first yield from my garden - Chinese cabbage. And it was delish!!!!!!

A little off topic

I'm all about feeling good at the moment. I'm feeling great with my diet and have been sticking to it. I have been a massive fruit monster so I definitely want to do some exercise tomorrow to counteract all the sugar!!!!

I have been growing my nails but some have chipped so I have taken action and now they all look the same! :)

I bought a kit from asda with all the bits you need for acrilyc nails. Like my friend Kirsty said, I'm always up for giving it a go. It's not particularly easy and it really stinks but I am impressed with the reaults.

The kit is from asda at just under 10 pounds which is rather a bit cheaper than getting it at a salon. I can also make touch ups along the way! :)

Prior planning

I've been feeling really poorly today so didn't think I would manage to make tea but I have come round a bit now and have spent a good hour cooking for the week.

I made a roast dinner with greens for tea tonight and with the leftovers I have made a very green Thai green curry. Smells delish. I am working the next 2 evenings at work so need to have something filling to take with me.

For night 2 and Roberts dinner tomorrow I have made a meat and potato stew.

I have also prepped all out fruit so it's just easy to grab.

Admittedly I have slipped today. I have eaten sweeties but I felt so sorry for myself, I had no energy earlier and it did make me feel better :) Back on it tomorrow. Ultimately that food is going I be in my life so eating it every now and again shouldn't come with a huge pang of guilt!

I did manage a walk this morning so feeling okay about exercise. I must try and get out to the gym tomorrow before work.... I always feel really good after the gym :)

It's been a busy one!

Its been my first weekend off with Robbie for a while and we've been non stop. On Saturday we did loads of jobs then treated ourselves to tea at the magpie in Whitby. We were trying to eat somewhere healthy and that's the nearest place we could think of. We ate so much fish and we really controlled. No doughnuts!!!

Yesterday we went for a 2.5 hour walk and had a giant BBQ of meat and salad which again was lovely.

I weighed in yesterday and have lost 1 pound this week! One step in the right direction. I'm sure it could have been better if I didn't eat so much fish the night before but I can't be disheartened as I'm happy to stick with it until I'm down to target!!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend too! :)

Energy

I don't know where I'm getting all this energy! I feel really fainty at work when I'm not eating loads but I seem to be able to exercise without passing out. Today I cycled to work AND felt really energetic when I got home so did another 5k run! I'm just walking home now and cooling off. Funnily enough my run ended at the pub! But I was very good and had a water and a chatter to my mummy. One of her friends hugged me and told me I was stinky so I'll be straight in the bath when I get in!

5k surprise

I have been at work today. I took yesterday's leftover spag Bol for lunch and plenty of homemade flapjacks which went down well! We have just sat down to a lovely dinner. I made homemade fajitas with homemade flatbread and homemade dips! It's homemade .... Just in case you weren't sure. I am going to take leftovers to work tomorrow. I am going to try cycling to keep up the exercise.

Speaking of exercise, I went to the gym today. I was in a real mood to push myself. I ended up managing to run 5k when I haven't even run for over a year due to my bad back. As my back has been better lately it was okay. I'm in a bit of pain now but I've been told to power through pain as I can't do any more damage. At 1.5k I could have given in but I kept in my mind that my friends want to get together and do race for life which is 5k so I am going to train for that! The pain that I was going through can't have been near what cancer sufferers go through so I powered on through and really surprised myself!!

I'm really tired tonight so I think I will be getting an early night. I'm going to have the Friday feeling tomorrow as I have 3 days in a row off! Yippeee!!! We are going to look at some wedding venues over the weekend.

Im so good to him!

Todays post is inspired by my little dilemma for today. I am on a day off work and I am going to see my mummy for a walk later. I want to eat dinner with Robert later but he will get in about 5pm and be ravenous. I was thinking about a snack I could leave him.... Fruit is not enough and leftover stir fry is too much. I was having a browse through Ella's cookbook and found flapjack! Hurrah!  Ella had a condition which had her on multiple medicines but since changing her diet she is off all of them so I like the fact that what she puts in her recipes is very clean.

I did not post yesterday but I managed to stay on track (minus 2 packs of monster munch 😳)!! I figured I can have them as long as I don't carry on eating that stuff. One of my meals was leftover fish and lentil curry with a homemade flatbread (see pic below).

Upping the Ant-ee

So pleased with last weeks result. I'm managing to keep it up. Yesterday I did a lamb roast with loads of veggies. And today I had rye bread, a banana, rasberries and chicken for lunch. For tea we are having a fish and lentil curry :) mmmm.

I've named the post upping the ant-ee because my weight loss won't continue without adding in some exercise. Tonight we have been for a 55minute bike ride and done a 10 minute weight circuits session in the conservatory!

Shower time now and then dinner time! Yippee :)

Weigh day

So today I have weighed in! Very happy I have lost the weight of a small baby!! I have lost 6 pounds! :) A nice boost to my weight loss. This coming week we are going to up our exercise so I would be hoping for 3 pounds next week!

Last night we went to the cinema. We had tea before we went. When we got there I decided to treat myself to a large diet coke! Trying to avoid it because of the sweeteners in it but I know it's it no calories so wouldn't harm my weight loss . I also took some popcorn. I popped them in coconut oil and added a small amount of salt. They were lovely, the coconut came through mildly. Avengers is a great movie, I would definitely recommend it. :)

I need to motivate myself to cycle to work today!!

Saturday Afternoon

I have been at work this morning. I could barely open my eyes when the alarm went off so I sacked off cycling to work. I might do it tomorrow because I don't start till 10am! Watch this space ---. I opted for the easy breakfast and lunch as I was tired and had a black coffee to wake me up. I did well for the rest of the shift just having peppermint tea.

I am home now. I have just put a chicken in the oven and had a homemade chocolate spread on toast (cocoa, avocado, vanilla essence, sweetener).

I tended my veg patch too. Deweeded and planted some chard and runner beans. In case anyone is interested I have listed what I am growing this year:

Lettuce
Spring onions
Carrots
Chinese cabbage
Broccoli
Tomatillo (lime flavoured tomato)
Corn on the cob
Chives
Parsley
Blueberries
Strawberries

I also have a surprise seedling aswell. It's either butternut squash or courgette. We will see!! 💫

Friday 15 May 2015

Late night bake

I made some rye bread using a lidl bread mix. Like most of the healthy food I make I wasn't looking forward to it but it's delicious!! It's crispy and really flavoursome. I am going to try and take some sandwiches tomorrow for work! :)

Friday Treat

Had a steak for tea. It was okay, bit chewy!!

The star of the show was my rhubarb crumble! Mmmm just rhubarb with sweetener and then an oat topping. Very happy face and belly!!!

Hello from the bath!!

I am managing to keep on track. Today I had a banana for breakfast and a homemade cookie. For lunch I had loads of chicken from the deli at work. It's a bit greasy but I can't cut everything out!!! I think it's okay. Better than a meal deal right? Especially because I would choose the American triple with crisps!! I also did well avoiding the biscuits at work. They had a Friday treat with some amazing looking cookies from Sainsburys bakery but I just stuck to my (now dry) homemade ones!!! :(

So I'm in the bath now trying to wind down a bit. I've got the Friday feeling although it's almost like Monday again for me as I'm  working over the weekend till Tuesday next week. Maybe it's because the suns out and it's payday!

We are going to treat ourselves tonight hopefully. Maybe take a bike ride and stop at lidl for a payday steak and then watch a film. I wanted to go to wether spoons and although I may make a good dinner choice and I could have a cheeky vodka and soda, after 3 or 4 vodka and sodas I would probably find myself ordering a huge pudding! I have no restraint after a drink so I will try and go without! :) I will have to give more of Ella's recipes a go to feed my chocolate craving!
